John Boehms
Senior Associate and Director of Operations, AIA, LEED AP

As Director of Operations, John oversees HASTINGS’s long-range staff planning, Owner and Consultant agreements, Information Systems, Design Applications, and capital planning. He brings over two decades of extensive experience including ten years with Autodesk to the practice. John’s time at Autodesk kept him at the forefront of design applications and selling enterprise solutions for Architectural, Engineering, Construction, and Retail customers. Before Autodesk, John spent eleven years at Perkins+Will – seven years in Charlotte, followed by four years in Seattle–where he was the Project Architect / Senior Project Manager for numerous projects focusing on the Science and Technology sector.

John is a Middle Tennessee boomerang–born in Nashville and returning in 2016. He is a University of Tennessee alumnus and is an active member of the American Institute for Architects. He was appointed to the University of Tennessee Alumni Board (Williamson County Chapter in 2022). In Seattle, he was a Board Member of the Sunset Hill Community Organization, and in Chicago the Regional Commissioner of the American Youth Soccer Organization. He also served as the President of the La Grange Field Club and served on La Grange Design Review Committee. Whether its golfing, hiking, fishing, or snowboarding, you can always find John outdoors whenever he gets the chance.
