AIA Middle Tennessee recognizes Vanderbilt University School of Nursing with a 2020 Design Award

AIA Middle Tennessee recognizes Vanderbilt University School of Nursing with a 2020 Design Award. From over 60 submissions, Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is one of 11 winners.

This innovative and functional addition to the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is designed to enhance the School’s educational program and support occupants’ health and wellbeing. The new four-story atrium connects three existing buildings and serves as the School’s new main entrance and lobby. The glazed façade stitches together differing levels in the existing buildings and the addition, highlights the juxtaposition between old and new, and floods the atrium with natural light.
