Rothschild Residential College advances Vanderbilt University’s mission to enrich the educational experience by completing and extending the residential college system and developing new infrastructure to foster further interconnections between discovery and learning.
The building includes a reservable black box theater performance space that seats 130 and is open to all members of the Vanderbilt community and is flexible for different types of student-focused artistic programming and rehearsals.
Together with Residential College C, Rothschild Residential College completes the facelift of the West End corridor in Nashville’s Midtown Neighborhood, making this major thoroughfare more pedestrian and bike-friendly.
As with E. Bronson Ingram College, Nicholas S. Zeppos Residential College, and Residential College C, Rothschild Residential College includes various spaces where residents can live, learn, and socialize. Common spaces complement traditional classroom endeavors by supporting interaction and collaboration. Shared dining rooms, study lounges, and outdoor green spaces provide areas for casual encounters and structured communication.
