We are proud to announce that Donelson Library has officially achieved LEED Gold Certification, a testament to our commitment to sustainable, high-performance design. This recognition highlights our dedication to creating community-centered spaces that prioritize environmental responsibility, energy efficiency, and long-term resilience.

Designed with both sustainability and user experience in mind, the library integrates key features that reduce its environmental impact while enhancing comfort and functionality. These include:

Optimized Energy Performance – Advanced mechanical systems and efficient lighting reduce overall energy consumption.

Daylight & Views – Thoughtfully placed windows and open spaces maximize natural light, reducing reliance on artificial lighting.

Sustainable Materials – Locally sourced and recycled materials reduce the building’s carbon footprint.

Water Conservation – Low-flow plumbing fixtures and native landscaping minimize water use.

Healthy Indoor Environments – Low-VOC materials and enhanced air filtration create a healthier space for visitors and staff.

Achieving LEED Gold Certification reinforces our mission to design places that not only serve their communities but also contribute to a more sustainable future. We are honored to have partnered with the City of Nashville and the Metro Nashville Public Library system to bring this vision to life.
