HASTINGS participates in two sessions at the 2024 AIA Tennessee Conference on Architecture

We are thrilled to announce that HASTINGS’ own Emilee Wilson Hamm and Laura Hollier participated in the AIA Tennessee Grounding Conference in Knoxville on August 8th and 9th!

On Thursday, August 8th, HASTINGS’ Laura Hollier moderated a breakout session, titled “Sustainable Structures: Timber’s Architectural Frontier.” This discussion provided an in-depth exploration of heavy timber’s applications, innovations, and its impact on the future of architecture.

Then, on Friday, August 9th, HASTINGS’ Emilee Wilson Hamm lead a session titled “Silent Reverberations: Affordable Housing in Tennessee.” This talk delved into successful strategies and future directions for housing that fosters community and accessibility.
