UTK Student Success Center Breaks Ground

Today, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville celebrates the groundbreaking of its new Student Success Center—a transformative facility designed to enhance academic achievement and foster inclusive student support. Located at the heart of campus along the Pedestrian Mall, the 119,000-square-foot building will house key programs including the Division of Student Success, Student Disability Services, and the Veterans Success Center, as well as flexible classrooms and study spaces designed for collaboration and growth.

The center’s architecture creates a powerful dialogue between tradition and innovation—lifting parts of the structure to allow passage and discovery, while terraced interiors ensure barrier-free access for all. Thoughtfully integrated into the surrounding campus, the building will serve as a welcoming hub for connection, exploration, and student engagement for years to come.
