Rothschild Residential College opens at Vanderbilt University

Large image
In the fall, Rothschild Residential College opened its doors to students as the third phase, of a four-phase housing initiative on campus. Rothschild Residential College follows the openings of E. Bronson Ingram Residential College and the Nicholas A. Zeppos Residential College and precedes the upcoming opening of Residential College C, scheduled for 2024.

Rothschild Residential College advances Vanderbilt University’s mission to enrich the educational experience by completing and extending the residential college system and developing new infrastructure to foster further interconnections between discovery and learning.

The building includes various spaces in which residents can live, learn, and socialize. Common spaces complement traditional classroom endeavors by supporting interaction and collaboration. Shared dining rooms, study lounges, and outdoor green spaces provide areas for casual encounters and structured communication.

The building also includes a reservable black box theater that seats 130. The performance space is open to all members of the Vanderbilt community and is flexible for different types of student-focused artistic programming and rehearsals.
