Eric Hawkins
Senior Associate, AIA

As an architect, musician, and picture book illustrator, Eric is driven by dual passions for design and shepherding ideas to reality. Eric’s interests in various art forms influence his design-thinking. Through his commitment to relationships and his collaborative spirit, he guides clients and teams through the challenges of realizing the built form. Eric received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee College of Architecture + Design and his Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech.

In 2018, Eric returned to his native Tennessee to join HASTINGS as a Project Architect and Designer, leading complex, urban projects. Having practiced in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Durham, Eric draws from a breadth of experience with diverse project types in markets worldwide. Since 2005, his projects have been recognized nationally and locally by the AIA, ARCHITECT Magazine, the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, The Brick Industry Association, and Metals in Construction Magazine.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Eric serves as the President of the Board for the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra.
